Two U.S. car manufacturer, General Motors and Chrysler LLC reported to hold discussions to explore the possibilities of merging or even the acquisition of the Chrysler by GM.

As reported Wall Street Journal and the Associated Press quoted Saturday (11/10/2008), Careberus Capital Management as the most owner of Chrysler shares, to offer sales to GM. Carebus also has a 51 percent share in the company’s GMAC financing is important due to the crisis. Carebus also plans to reduce shares to be 41 percent.

Meanwhile, the New York Times (NYT) report, the two parties discuss the possibility merger. However NYT not mention the possibility of selling shares in GMAC.

General Motors (GM) will sell electric cars or the extended range electric vehicle (EREV) Chevrolet Volt to Asia. China will become the first country that will be marketed starting 2011. GM will begin marketing the new Volt globally in 2010.

As the fed Nanfang Daily, GM Volt will start production in China in 2010. Vice chairman of GM for product development Bob Lutz said China is a potential market for the marketing of electric cars such as Volt. However, GM has not announced the countries anywhere other than China, which will be penetrated Volt.
